This elegant pair of whimbrel birds has been beautifully realised. Individually hand carved and painted they are sure to make an attractive display.
Whimbrels are large wading birds. They have longish legs with a bill that curves near the tip. They are a brownish colour above and whitish below in nature, and in flight show a white ‘V’ shape up its back from the tail. Within the UK this species currently only breeds in northern Scotland.
Beautifully made the birds are displayed on silver poles upon a natural wooden base.
