This pair of elegant birds have been beautifully realised.
Whimbrels are large wading birds. They have longish legs with a bill that curves near the tip. They are a brownish colour above and whitish below in nature, and in flight show a white ‘V’ shape up its back from the tail. Within the UK this species currently only breeds in northern Scotland.
Beautifully hand carved and painted wood.
