Tapestry Seashell

The natural Tapestry shell comes with a  wonderfully patterned outer shell, that gives way to a creamy mother of pearl inner surface.

The Tapestry shell (Turbo Petholatus) belongs to the Turban (Turbininae) family of some several hundred species that dwell mostly in the shallow waters of warm tropical seas.

Common to the Indian Ocean.
