This large round cork mirror would add a stunning feature to any room.
Made from driftwood collected from St Peter's Bay in Essex, it has been enhanced by the addition of old weather beaten cork floats uniquely shaped and full of sea worn character which came from Petershead in Scotland.
Although there will always be driftwood washing upon our shores, these vintage floats are becoming more rare every year, as are the inshore fishing boats that use them.
For artist David Holmes his fascination and interest has never wavered for driftwood since combing the beaches of Pembrokeshire and Cornwall from an early age.
The individual qualities of each find, its inherent texture, shape and colour have all helped to inspire each of his handmade designs in creating natural products that evokes memories of the seashore.
Each mirror is handmade to order and will be of the same design, but will vary due to the individual nature of the corks used. Delivery on this item is approx 14 days.
