The wonderfully patterned surface of the Mexican Fluctuosus Turbo shell gives way to a creamy mother of pearl inner surface.

This class of shell belongs to the Turban (Turbininae) family of some several hundred species that dwell mostly in shallow waters.

Common to the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf of California.
