A beautifully detailed puffin, cleverly crafted from layers of metal sheet.
The Puffin spends its life at sea fishing for sand eels. It comes ashore to breed in the spring on grass-topped cliffs, preferring old rabbit burrows. Its colourful bill fades later in the year, after the breeding season. The new chicks “jump-fly” and scramble by night down from the cliffs on which they have been bred.
Each bird is individually hand-made and painted and has a unique character of it’s own. Lightly distressed.
