With a soft creamy colouring that gives way to a rich peachy orange around the aperture, the Horse Conch Shell is a species of extremely large predatory sea snail that lives in warm tropical waters.
This stunning shell would make a wonderful focal point for any home. The species dwells on sand, weed and mud flats and is also known as a tulip shell, as its overall shape resembles that of a closed tulip flower head.
A common species in South-Eastern waters of the USA and the Gulf of Mexico.
As a natural specimen it will have acquired minor marks and imperfections during its lifetime and these should be considered perfectly normal and very much part of the individual charm and character for a special shell of this size.
