Sometimes the perfect cup of tea has more to do with the vessel that holds it than the brew itself; the familiarity of holding a shape or the way it greets ones lips.
Inspired by Cornish blue skies and white-crested waves, these wonderfully striped Tea Cups are created by Rebecca Harvey.
Rebecca’s earthenware cups are individually thrown on the potter’s wheel making each one quite unique.
A blue slip is then brushed on in a spontaneous, painterly style to emphasis the form.
Honoured by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust in 2005 and the Royal College of Art in 2007, Rebecca is a dedicated teacher and known for her publications on glazes and ceramic tableware.
Rebecca’s designs are lovingly created in her studio in Cornwall and her work can be found in both public and private collections.
An ideal gift for any coast lover, her Cornish range is just perfect for today’s kitchen.
Each item is totally unique due to the hand crafted process and very much part of its individual charm, so please bear this in mind when ordering, as there will be slight variation in size and decoration from the photographs shown.
